Blog #3 VALS Segment

I do agree with the VALS Segment on consumers. I think that they are very accurate with our target person for Ann Taylor.

The target market for Ann Taylor are women ages from 30-45. They carry chic and sophisticated clothing for the working women in the business industry. From business savvy pieces to everyday wear, Ann Taylor carries an assortment of clothing to equip the modern day woman.

The customers at Ann Taylor are definitely achievers. The women who shop at Ann Taylor are usually established right now with a family to provide for. They are extremely focused on their family and job, and are typically the bread winners in the household. They are power house women who are always up to speed on the latest trends and gadgets because to them time is money.

Another point to include is that Ann Taylor customers are thinkers. They are well educated and tend to dress conservative. Their main priority in picking out pieces that are trendy and comfortable because they are, yet again, always on the go.

Blog #2-Forever21 Unwrapped...

Forever 21 is my favorite retailer and here is just some information on them. Forever 21 was originally called Fashion 21. Forever 21 started in California by a Korean couple, Do-Won Chang and Jin-Sook. It started in 1984 which was located at 5637 N, Figueroa St., Los Angeles. Not only did the stores first year sales grew from $35,000 to $700,000, and also expanding at the rate of a new store every six months.
